America is imbalanced….
There are over 100 cities in America that have criminalized the homeless population. “NO ADDRESS” depicts the attempted criminalization of homelessness in Columbia, South Carolina and worldwide. You will meet the individuals that fought to rescind the 2013 unanimous City Council vote to criminalize the homeless population. We will also take a further look into various cities that have taken punitive measures to criminalize the homeless and those that feed them.
In “No Address,“ you will get to know some humans from the homeless community who survive day to day by banishment, abandonment, harassment, ridicule and institutionalism all while keeping their sanity to live another day. In this new era of American society, stereotypes of homelessness no longer exist.
Moreover, there IS good news!!! Our SOLUTION is to obtain land and to build a community for the homeless population to include permanent container homes and organic farming so they will have a sustainable income through agriculture. We will provide all types of resources and training to educate them through the process. This will be the catalyst for what WE can do in other communities.
I’ve dedicated the last several years of my life to this documentary which is very close to my heart. I plan on sending it to local and major film festivals and other platforms to bring awareness to the masses!
